Bradco Supply Upgrades Network with AT&T Private Network Transport Services
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) September 6, 2007 announced a three year $2.7 million networking services contract with Bradco Supply Corp., a leading national distributor of building materials.
Under terms of the contract, AT&T will provide a solution to migrate Bradco Supply from an existing frame relay network to AT&T's Private Network Transport (PNT) service, which uses AT&T's Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) — enabled network. The Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution will streamline the management of valuable network resources to ensure reliability, scalability, security and to more effectively adapt to the increasing changes of Bradco Supply's business requirements.
AT&T will oversee the deployment and management of the PNT services, which will support a variety of Bradco's data applications. The services will be deployed across 164 Bradco locations in North America.
Source One Management Services, LLC was engaged by Bradco Supply to assist in the identification, implementation and contracting of a consolidated data solution. Jointly, Bradco and Source One wanted to ensure that the new solution maximized the use of Bradco’s existing equipment while providing first class network management services that allowed for anticipated future growth.
“Our goal was to identify a tier-one provider for Bradco’s primary and secondary broadband networks that allowed for minimal disruption during migration and ultimately improves upon our already competitive marketplace costs,” said Abraham Podolak, Chief Supply Strategist of Source One. “With the AT&T solution, we are confident of a successful transition of all headquarter and branch locations to our new network infrastructure and anticipate increased reliability and bandwidth.”
