Telecommunications/Technology Analyst

What will I do?
The qualified candidate will act as part of our consulting team and will provide consultative services including research, RFP development, contract review, and data analysis surrounding the procurement/buying of telecommunications and technology products and services to our customers. In this role you will be responsible for researching and understanding the telecommunications industry and telecom infrastructures. You will gain a high-level understanding of various technologies (e.g. Wireline: Wide Area Network (WAN) PRI, POTS, T1, VoIP, SIP, Internet, etc. Wireless: WiFi, 3G, WiMax, LTE, GSM/CMDA and Equipment: PBX, Routers, switches, cards and other components) and learn how telecommunications carriers structure contracts, tariffs, and invoicing. This role is active through the entire project life cycle; from data entry through negotiations and coordinating implementation between installers, providers and our customers' locations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting client and supplier interviews (electronically, over the phone, or face to face), documenting quantitative and qualitative specs for technology products & services
  • Developing Request For Proposals (RFPs) and executing on strategic sourcing strategy (go to bid, analyze responses, negotiate, etc.)
  • Creating financial analysis in Excel to review prior costs and to help select the optimal solution of new vendors and supplier pricing
  • Analyzing client's needs, existing infrastructure, systems, and processes, and validating that the needs match the technical specs in supplier responses
  • Identifying areas for cost reduction or value improvement in telecom and technology acquisition
  • Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs
  • Identifying telecommunications spend to help leverage new solutions or negotiate new contracts that will improve our customers' networks while reducing their costs
  • Conducting technology & telecom market research activities to produce detailed reports of findings

    Who should apply?
    The qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree, strong technical aptitude, and a desire to learn about and understand various technologies. The ideal candidate is someone who already is interested in computers, gadgets, or ways of making technology improve their lives. You should also be very strong in Office, particularly formula-writing in Excel, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Entry- and mid-career- level candidates will both be considered, but we are unable to sponsor visas or assist in your relocation.

    Supply Chain and Sourcing Analyst


    What will I do?
    The qualified candidate will act as part of our consulting team and will provide consultative services including research, Request For Proposal (RFP) development, contract review, data analysis, and report drafting for our customers. You will be responsible for developing strategies to reduce cost of procured goods and services acting as a consultant for our clients, while improving upon all qualitative aspects of the relationship with their suppliers. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting client and supplier interviews (electronically, over the phone, or face to face), documenting quantitative and qualitative customer requirements
  • Analyzing client's needs and preferences, existing infrastructure, systems, buying processes, and validating that the needs match the technical specs in supplier responses
  • Developing RFPs and executing a strategic sourcing strategy (go to bid, analyze responses, negotiate, etc.)
  • Creating financial analysis in Excel to review prior costs and to help select the optimal solution of new vendor pricing in terms of total cost of ownership.
  • Identifying areas for cost reduction or value improvement within the supply chain
  • Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs
  • Assisting in the reading, negotiation and modification of large enterprise contracts
  • Conducting research activities to produce detailed reports related to competitive markets, sourcing strategies, cost savings opportunities and benchmarking.
  • Monitor industry trends

    Who should apply?
    The qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to read and understand contracts and pricing proposals.
