WhyAbe.com announces
free reverse auctions.
WILLOW GROVE, Pennsylvania – October 13, 2006 –After one short year of
the initial debut of their free commerce site, www.WhyAbe.com has announced the
release of completely free Reverse Auction Tools.
WhyAbe.com is the first,
and only, completely free web site to offer reverse auction tools..
WhyAbe.com offers free electronic commerce tools for
buyers and sellers. With the addition of Free Reverse Auctions, buyers can now create
reverse auction events and choose whether they want the competing
suppliers to see their rank for the listing, or the lowest bid price
received.
The entire
bid process for both the RFP and Reverse Auctions listings can be
managed through the dashboard, allowing the buyer and anyone they
choose to invite as a reviewer to see all submitted proposals,
responses and questions as they come in from the multiple
bidders.
Buyers can invite suppliers to attend their events through
the database of existing registered suppliers, or they can invite
their own suppliers by using email addresses. Once registered,
buyers also have the capability of emailing multiple suppliers
questions directly from the site in one simple
step.
In
addition to responding to RFPs and Reverse Auctions, suppliers have
the capability to list products or services that they want to sell
or promote. By clicking the “Sell” option, members will be taken
through a simple process to create a free seller’s listing. Once the category of the
product or service is chosen, the user can enter text descriptions
and upload pictures or attachments that they wish perspective buyers
to see. When finished, a web page is automatically created for the
listing. Buyers can make an offer to buy the product or service, as
well as ask questions of the seller directly through the WhyAbe
site.
WhyAbe.com is an automated collaborative marketplace
that can be used by any organization in any industry. WhyAbe allows
buyers to post their specifications in RFP, RFQ, or Reverse Auction
format and invite suppliers to provide quotes. Suppliers can make
their goods and services available to a broader range of potential
buyers and receive free trade leads. Registering and using the site
is free.
Most e-sourcing platforms require a large ramp-up
period and/or a large deployment budget. With these platforms, the
cost of rollout can often mitigate any cost savings opportunities.
WhyAbe is specifically designed to allow procurement professionals
to do more in less time than conventional e-sourcing platforms.
Buyers can easily monitor all of their activity through WhyAbe’s
Dashboard feature which provides the history of all activity for all
projects. This is especially important for companies that are trying
to comply with Sarbanes Oxley.
Obtaining value from WhyAbe
is instant. There is no software to install or PC’s to configure. A
computer equipped with the latest version of Internet Explorer or
Firefox (available free @ whyabe.com) provides immediate access to
the comprehensive and user friendly tool. WhyAbe provides the tools
necessary for procurement professionals as well as retail buyers to
control costs, manage performance, ensure compliance and quickly
deliver value. WhyAbe was designed so users would have a quick
learning curve, and recognize the benefits of the RFP system
immediately.
WhyAbe is the available immediately for free on
