Source One Strategic Sourcing Initiative makes Supply and Demand Chain Executives List of 2017 top 100 Supply Chain Projects

Willow Grove, PA (June 22, 2017) – Premier Procurement Services provider, Source One Management Services is recognized for delivering outstanding results in a recent client engagement by Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine as a Top 100 Supply Chain Project in 2017.  The annual list showcases exemplary projects that can serve as a template for forward-thinking executives looking to transform their companies. The Top 100 honor reflects Source One’s never ending aim to help companies enhance their Procurement organization’s role as a strategic arm within the enterprise.

The highlighted strategic sourcing initiative making Supply and Demand Chain Executive’s Top 100 Projects List is Source One’s recent engagement with specialty foods manufacturer seeking a better equipped Warehouse Management System (WMS). The client was looking for a more robust system to support its mission of delivering top quality plant-based foods to their customers through sustainable practices. The unique initiative required input from both Supply Chain and IT stakeholder groups to gain a clear definition of functionality requirements. Recognizing the importance of aligning these two stakeholder groups, Source One’s procurement consultants successfully incorporated the two units’ perspective in an effective go-to-market strategy for an improved WMS. After administering the RFP, assessing contending systems’ functionality, and conducting system demos, the Source One procurement consultant team presented stakeholders with the necessary information for selecting a best-fit WMS that matched the client’s supply chain and IT needs. As a result, the client chose a more robust solution from an incumbent ERP provider that could easily integrate into existing systems – achieving 40% savings.

“It’s an honor that Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine selected this type of initiative to make their list of 2017 Top Projects,” shares Source One’s VP of Professional Services Joe Payne. “More and more, we’re seeing companies looking to transform their supply management practices but need the support and perspective of multiple business units. Procurement is in the prime position align stakeholders in a way that results in a best-fit solution for the enterprise’s overarching mission. It is Source One’s goal to equip our clients’ Procurement groups with the best practices and strategies to elevate their role within their organizations and realize it’s full potential.”
