Strategic Sourcing Experts from Source One Named Supply and Demand Chain Executive Magazine's 2018 Provider Pros to Know

2018 Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Pros to Know

Willow Grove, PA (February 23, 2018) – Source One Management Services is proud to announce that Supply and Demand Chain Executive has named three members of its cost reduction team Procurement Services Provider Pros to Know. The 2018 Supply and Demand Chain Honor marks the eighth-consecutive year that Source One’s Procurement experts have been recognized for their leadership and results in spend management.

Each year, SDCE selects Procurement professionals from service providers, software companies, and academic institutions to honor as Provider Pros to Know.  Recognized for their forward-thinking approach to supply management consulting, this year’s honorees include Source One Consultant Jonathan Groda and Senior Consultants Kenneth Ballard and Megan Connell.

“This year’s Pro to Know recipients have not only distinguished themselves as indispensable assets to Source One, but are also helping to break the traditional mold for Procurement professionals,” says CEO, Steven Belli.  “Whether they’re looking for results beyond cost savings, dispelling myths about Procurement’s approach to brand strategy, or leveraging their expertise to build cutting-edge Procurement tools, they’re emerging as thought leaders and paving the way for Supply Management’s next generation.”

Joseph Payne, Source One’s VP of Professional Services, commends Ballard for his ability to navigate unfamiliar territory in his Procurement initiatives. “Kenneth has shown himself capable of producing savings in highly-complicated international engagements.  Facing head-on the risk factors inherent to global supply chains, Ballard stands out as a particularly fearless member of our team.”

Connell is recognized for her wins in the Marketing Procurement space.  “Traditionally,” says Source One’s VP of Operations, William Dorn, “Marketing and Procurement are known to butt heads.  Many Marketing departments still think of Procurement as a cost-slashing adversary.  Megan’s efforts have led many of our clients to abandon these notions, eliminate silos within their organizations, and recognize the value Procurement delivers in enabling brand strategies.”

Groda balances cost reduction initiatives with efforts to develop Source One’s proprietary sourcing tools.  “Jonathan’s experience and skills enable him to design Procurement technologies that are optimized for Procurement professionals,” says Lead Data Scientist, James Patounas. “In the past, spend analysis and e-Sourcing solutions added needless complexity to these processes.  Jonathan’s work has helped provide our clients with user-friendly tools that facilitate more efficient purchasing and more informed decision making.”

The cost reduction experts have much to look forward to in the coming year. This spring, Source One is sponsoring the premier supply chain event of the year: ISM2018 . All are invited to visit Booth #729  and to attend learning sessions hosted by Director Diego De la Garza and Sourcing Analyst Kaitlyn Krigbaum.  Additionally, the Strategic Sourcing leaders return to the ISM Annual Conference as the exclusive sponsors of ExecIn.  This executive-only networking event includes additional discussions and presentations aimed at addressing global supply chain challenges.  Bringing Supply Management’s true thought leaders together, the event promises to provide valuable opportunities to exchange best practices for driving the future of Procurement.
