JAGGAER's Kristian O'Meara Joins Source One's Discussion of Procurement Transformation
Willow Grove, PA (June 5, 2018) – JAGGAER, the world’s largest independent spend management company, offers their insights and best practices in Source One’s multi-part exploration of Procurement Transformation.
Procurement Transformation: Industry Perspectives collects reflections from supply chain thought leaders who have collectively helped transform dozens of companies and drive the Procurement function forward as a strategic value generator. The five-part series elaborates on the full spectrum of transformation. Topics of discussion include the history and evolution of Procurement, the mindset necessary for successful transformation, the people, processes and tools essential to the department, and more.
“We selected representatives from companies that have extensive supply chain experience and have developed world-class practices for transforming Procurement. Their contribution to this series is based on multiple successful implementations with Fortune 10, 100 and 500 companies across the globe. Their perspective provides information that Procurement groups at any maturity level can apply,” says Source One’s Associate Director and Procurement Transformation Practice Lead, Jennifer Ulrich.
Ulrich will publish her observations in an upcoming installment of the series. Previous publications include Jim Baehr (Group Lead, Sourcing Strategies Group)’s thoughts on Procurement’s strategic evolution as well as Phil Ideson (Founder, The Art of Procurement) and Joe Payne (VP of Professional Services, Source One)’s tips for refining the department’s mindset.
“We’ve worked with thousands of companies worldwide to advance the understanding of Procurement’s digital transformation. We are living in a time when rapid, dynamic transformations are possible for organizations of different sizes and structures. This requires an ongoing assessment of how these transformations should actually work. Source One’s collection of thought leadership and first-hand reflections is a valuable contribution to the spend management knowledge base,” says Rob Bonavito, CEO of JAGGAER.
Published today, Part 3 of the series includes a contribution from JAGGAER’s SVP of Value Engineering, Kristian O’Meara. Advocating a curious yet skeptical approach to Procurement technologies, O’Meara suggests strategies for aligning these tools with the department’s people and processes.
Future installments of Procurement Transformation: Industry Perspectives will include reflections from the following supply management authorities: Kelly Barner (Managing Editor, Buyer’s Meeting Point), Diego De la Garza (Director, Source One), Michael Lamoureux (Editor-in-Chief, Sourcing Innovation), Naseem Malik (Managing Partner, MRA Global Sourcing), and Tom Rogers (CEO, Vendor Centric).
