Corcentric to Discuss Recession-Proofing Procurement for ISM-New Jersey Webinar
Willow Grove, PA (December 10, 2019) – Homeowners, economists, and Procurement professionals alike expect another recession within the next several years. Corcentric’s Source-to-Pay team believes that an economic downturn is not only a challenge, but a strategic opportunity for the Procurement function. Senior Analyst Sam Cagle will address this opportunity during an ISM-New Jersey webinar on January 16th.
Building a Recession-Proof Business with Help from Procurement will equip attendees with the insights they need to make Procurement a proactive risk manager. Advocating for a resilient, flexible approach, Cagle hopes to help attendees break down siloes within their organizations and earn buy-in for Procurement.
“Whether the next recession occurs next year or five years from now,” says Cagle, “it’s imperative that Procurement prepare itself. Boosting visibility and refining the function’s processes now will pay dividends when things take a turn for the worse. Even the best Procurement team, however, cannot function without buy-in from other stakeholders. In addition to providing Procurement best practices, I plan to encourage collaboration across business units and more open, transparent communication.”
Both ISM members and non-members are invited to register.
The potential recession will also appear throughout the agenda at the Institute for Supply Chain Management’s Annual Conference this April. In addition to registering for Cagle’s webinar, all Procurement and Supply Chain professionals are encouraged to attend the year’s premier industry conference.
