Source One and MRA Global to Deliver Joint Session at ISM2016

Willow Grove , PA (May 3, 2016)- Leading procurement services provider, Source One Management Services, is set to expand their presence at ISM2016, co-presenting a session with premier supply management recruiting firm MRA Global Sourcing at the Institute for Supply Management’s Annual Conference.  The two industry leaders are joining forces to deliver a presentation on the importance of branding for both individual professionals in strategic sourcing and procurement, as well as their overall organization titled: Who’s that Under the Helmet?  The session will engage ISM2016 attendees on why supply management professionals need to develop their personal brand, as well as how to market procurement’s value throughout the company.

Co-presenter and Associate Director at Source One, Diego De la Garza explains “You could have the best product in the world, but if no one is aware of it, you aren’t going to sell any of it. This applies to product marketing, but also how we market ourselves and the value of our organizations. You may have delivered millions in cost savings and optimized your supply chain operations, but if the right people aren’t aware of these achievements, neither you or your strategic sourcing and procurement department are going to receive the recognition you deserve. The goal of our session is to teach attendees about the skills and resources for developing their professional brand, as well as how to become an ambassador for the SS&D function within the companies they support.”

Who’s that Under the Helmet? echoes this message, providing supply management professionals with the career advancing tools for building their professional brand such as training, networking, and social media. The session extends this brand building concept to how and why strategic sourcing and procurement organizations must market themselves to better engage key stakeholders and the C-Suite. Who’s that Under the Helmet? takes a look at branding best practices, sharing practical advice to help procurement professionals get on the fast track.

“Working in supply management and procurement recruiting, I’ve observed firsthand the benefits of having an established professional brand helping candidates to land the job and quickly advance within their organization.” explains Search Associate at MRA Global Sourcing and co-presenter of Who’s that Under the Helmet?, Kaitlyn Krigbaum. “I’m excited to share some of the branding best practices of our most sought-after supply management candidates that bolster their credibility as professionals in the field, as well as their ability to enhance the organization overall.”

Source One and MRA Global will also be present at ISM2016’s Exec IN forum. The procurement executive-only event, sponsored by Source One, is a private event reserved for organizations with $1.5 Billion or more in annual revenue. The forum agenda includes private sessions with keynote speakers former Ford Motor Company president and CEO, Alan Mulally and Susan Cain, author of the best-selling book Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Be Quiet, as well as unique breakout sessions with CPOs of industry-leading organizations to discuss challenges facing companies with large supply chain operations.
