One of the top selling appliances during the 2011 holiday season was the single-cup brewer coffee machine. If you were the recipient of such a gift, a couple of thoughts may have crossed your mind when opening it. How expensive are these “K-Cups?” Am I limited to the type of coffee I can drink? Most users like these machines for the same reason a purchasing professional selects one supplier over another. They offer convenience. You can have a fresh cup of coffee (or tea/hot chocolate) with the touch of a button and you are left with almost no mess or clean up. However, the “K-Cups” can be expensive, they have a negative impact on the environment, and you are limited in your coffee selection. Consider purchasing a K-Cup reusable coffee filter. You can buy your own ground coffee for less and can pat yourself on the back for being green, too.
