ExecIn Session Exploring Technology Solutions Transformation Procurement Today

Willow Grove, PA (March 27, 2019) – From April 7-11, the spend management experts at Source One, a Corcentric company, will return to the Institute for Supply Management’s Annual Conference as exhibitors, sponsors, and the exclusive hosts of the ExecIn Forum.  ExecIn, an invitation-only component of ISM2019, will feature private sessions with the Conference’s keynote speakers, discussions around the future of talent management, and a series of presentations on emerging Procurement solutions.

On April 9, ExecIn attendees will learn about the next-generation procurement tools they can start applying today to enhance spend management and supplier relationships.

Source One’s Senior Data Scientist, James Patounas and VP of Operations, William Dorn will explore the benefits of business intelligence tools, specifically Qlik Sense. Together, they’ll demonstrate how Qlik has empowered the procurement consultancy to turn over 25 years worth of data into actionable information to drive smarter business decisions, increase efficiency, and ultimately enable every member of Source One’s delivery team.

“In Supply Chain Management, we’re constantly talking about the next big solution,” says Patounas, “organizations are eager to differentiate themselves as innovators and identify a tool that will empower next-generation results. Our intention with this presentation is to familiarize ExecIn attendees with some of the game-changing tools that are already available. For our team of spend management consultants, the Qlik Sense dashboard has provided for more effective collaboration, additional visibility, and optimal resource allocation.”

Presenters during this session will also include IBM’s Procurement Data and Analytics Officer, Marco Romano and GlaxoSmithKline’s Global Category Lead for Digital and Tech Innovation, Jasdeep Sandhu.

Romano will explore the increasingly close-knit relationship between Procurement and Data Science. In demonstrating some of the solutions he employs at IBM, he will build a business case for arming Procurement with access to more robust analytics and allowing the function to drive strategic decision making.

Sandhu, this year’s ISM Megawatt Rising Star, will discuss the role blockchain-empowered solutions have played throughout his time with the British Pharmaceutical giant. In addition to establishing nearly a dozen blockchain pilots, Sandhu is the founder and chair of a blockchain-centric think tank within GSK. Including hundreds of thought leaders, the group has significantly enhanced visibility and produced more than three million euro in savings.
